Food supplements are used in a few words to compensate for the deficiencies of the diet. In fact, a dietary supplement promotes the welfare of the body, contributes to a balanced and correct, helping the physiological functions of the body.
Food supplements are concentrated sources of nutrients. They may contain vegetable matter, such as herbs, plant or substances but not natural, such as propolis, royal jelly and bee pollen. Can only be used orally. The supplements are not drugs or dietary products. Not serve to cure diseases or to lose weight. Serve to promote the welfare of the body.
To be healthy, the diet must contain all the nutrients are necessary to to carry out its vital functions.
That’s why supplements are recommended in cases in which the body present shortage of certain foods, incorporating a proper diet.
